  Art Room Volunteer 

                                 Description:

The Art Room Volunteer will assist our Art teacher, Ms. Fulton, with special projects throughout the year. Many of the opportunities can be scheduled during your child’s Art class.

Book Fair 
 

                                 Description:

The Book Fair is a great way to create excitement about reading! Join the committee and encourage our students to become lifelong readers. Assist with set up, check out, book selections and clean up.

 Braves Night 

                                 Description:

Take me out to the ballgame! Support the Braves and Huddleston by enjoying a Spring game. Committee members help advertise and prepare ticket orders.

Clinic Coordinator 

                                 Description:

Coordinates with our school nurse, Barbara Stephens, to stock the clinic with supplies. Assists with hearing and vision screening in the Fall.

Communication 
 

                                 Description:

Updates our HES Facebook page and prepares Constant Contact emails to keep the Huddleston community informed about school information.

                                 Description:

Secures corporate sponsors to support HES.

 Gift Card Sales

                                Description:

Purchase gift cards for family and friends while supporting our school. Volunteers distribute and collect order forms. Cards are then picked up from local merchants and distributed on scheduled days.

 Hospitality
 

                                 Description:

We love our teachers and staff! The Hospitality Committee works to show them the appreciation they deserve. Volunteers organize luncheons, Wonderful Wednesdays, and an end of the year event. They also help organize the Thanksgiving Feast, DARE graduation and fifth grade graduation.

Huddleston Green 
 

                                 Description:

It's easy being green! Volunteers assist with the paper, aluminum, and plastic bottle recycling program to help earn money for our school.

Beautification 

 

                                 Description:

Who doesn’t love a beautiful, well-kept school campus? The Beautification Committee works to keep Huddleston a school to be proud of! Volunteers assist with landscaping, gardening, and watering on scheduled days throughout the year.

The Learning Center 
 

                                 Description:

The Learning Center is a PTO funded program that provides additional academic support to students during the school day. Volunteers work with children under the supervision of Ms. Sue Lane, our LC teacher.

                                 Description:

The marquee at the entrance to the school is an important visual for current school information. Volunteers update the sign on a weekly basis or as needed.

The Media Center 

 

                                 Description:

Do you love books and reading? Then the Media Center is the ideal place to volunteer your time. Volunteers assist Ms. McDonald and Ms. Hannah with checking books in and out, re-shelving books, and helping children make book selections.

                                 Description:

Original Works transforms your child’s artwork into products to share with family and friends. Volunteers will assist Ms. Fulton in processing Original Works orders.

Running Club 

                                 Description:

Running Club is a great way for kids to get active and start the day energized! Volunteers supervise students participating in Running Club each morning from 7:15am-7:40am.

                                 Description:

Reading Counts is a computer-based program that combines reading practice and reading assessment. Volunteers assist Ms. McDonald and Ms. Hannah with the Reading Counts program in the Media Center.

Room Parent Coordinator 

 

                                 Description:

The Room Parent Coordinator assures that all room parents are kept informed of important dates and information relating to their duties.

School Supply Kits 

 

                                 Description:

Purchasing school supply kits through Huddleston makes preparing for the new school year less stressful. The school supply kit coordinator distributes order forms, assists with orders and delivers orders to classrooms.

 Spirit Night

                                 Description:

Enjoy a night out with the family and support Huddleston and the community at the same time! We coordinate with local restaurants and  businesses to schedule Spirit Nights. The Spirit Night Committee organizes, advertises and collects returns from each event.
